Healthy Fruits for dogs

Fruits are perfectly safe for dogs to eat but you need to pick fruits that are low in sugar. Berries are the healthiest option because they are also prebiotic but there are loads of fruits that dogs can enjoy ...

APPLES

Apples contain vitamin A and are full of antioxidants. Apple skins are especially nutritious!

Apple seeds do contain cyanide however the amount is so minuscule it’s not really a cause for concern so no need to worry about them!

VEGETABLES

In the wild, carnivores consume the entire animal including what is present in the gut. This would include vegetation eaten by the herbivore. The vegetables present have been chewed and digested. To replicate the natural diet, we add a mix of steamed, mashed vegetables that can easily be digested by our canine friends.

SEEDS

Raw seeds provide essential fatty acids along with essential fat soluble vitamins and minerals to the raw diet. Our seeds are prepared for optimal digestion and are added in just the right amounts. We use organic sunflower and pumpkin seeds.

BERRIES

Studies show a small amount of berries are eaten by wolves in the wild (who have the exact digestive system as dogs). Since wolves have been doing such a great job surviving it seems only logical to add berries to our mixes. Blueberries have the highest antioxidant properties of any fruit and together with anti-inflammatory effects, this is the super-fruit we add to our mixes.

TURMERIC GOLDEN PASTE

Turmeric contains a compound called Curcumin (essentially its active ingredient). Curcumin has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, antibacterial, anti-fungal, wound healing and anti-cancer properties. BUT curcumin in turmeric is hard for dogs to absorb and needs to be combined with a healthy oil. We use organic ghee to ensure the very best gut health for your dog.

* Busy Pawz GTP is made with organic turmeric & ghee

** Turmeric can interact with some prescription medications. If your dog is on any medications, check with your holistic vet before adding turmeric to their diet
