  • What’s the difference between the Free 10-Minute Assessment and a Training Consultation?
The Free 10-Minute Assessment is a quick chat where we’ll get to know you and your dog, discuss any problem behaviours, and explore how our training can help you achieve your goals. It’s a great starting point if you’re unsure where to begin. The Training Consultation is a full session where we dive straight into personalised training for your dog, providing tailored advice and a structured plan to tackle behaviour issues right away.
  • What can I expect from a training consult?
The most stressful place to be is where you don't know WHAT to do - I am all about providing a clear plan that fits into your lifestyle and using your time on what will make the biggest difference. Together we will trouble shoot until we can figure out a plan that works for you and your dog. • Approximately 2-3 hour in depth behaviour consult via zoom or in person • A practical management plan to inspire calmness • Learn how your dog's brain works and how you can effectively support them • Recognise subtle behaviours that your dog is using to communicate with you • Personalised game based training plan specifically for you, your family and your dog • Understand how your dog's gut health affects their behaviour • Nutritional guidance to support your dogs behaviour • Follow-up support phone call if needed • Ongoing email/phone/facebook group support for any little bumps along the way!
  • Are you a qualified dog trainer?
Yes! I completed my Certificate III in Dog Behaviour and Training by the National Dog Trainers Federation (Australia's only government-approved provider for professional canine trainers) but it was games based training that really ignited my love for dog training. • What is the cost of a training session?
The cost of a training session is $297 for an in-home consultation and $197 for a remote/Zoom consultation. These sessions provide high-quality, comprehensive training tailored to your dog's specific needs. The skills and knowledge you gain during these consultations are lifelong and can be applied to any dog you own now or in the future. Our goal is to ensure you and your dog live in harmony, equipped with the tools to manage behavior effectively.
  • Is a remote consultation as effective as in person?
Yes! I totally get it - it seems weird to have a training session with your trainer in another room! So let me put your mind at ease ... there's actually some benefits too! 👨‍👨‍👦‍👦 Family Involvement: Record the session to share with family members who can't attend and review it at your convenience. 😃 Owner-Focused Training: My training focuses on empowering you to understand and support your dog better, so in-person dog interactions aren't always necessary. 🏠 Home Assessment: I can still observe your home setup and offer personalised suggestions. 🐶 Comfortable Environment: Your dog remains in their familiar environment, reducing stress and distraction. Especially helpful for anxious and fearful dogs.
  • Is this training suitable for anxious dog and/or people?
Yes! Busy Pawz supports pet dog owners and their dogs to live happily together, no matter what that looks like for you and your dog. You get one-on-one help without the stress of attending group classes. This personalised approach is perfect for anxious dogs and owners alike.
  • Is this training suitable for dogs of all ages?
Yes! This training is suitable for all pet dogs including multi dog households (no extra charge, new puppy additions included).
  • I have a new rescue dog, can you help?
Yes! I currently have 6 rescue dogs of my own! I have fostered and re-homed over 100 dogs - needless to say I have a big soft spot for rescues and have dedicated a lot of my time and training to rescue dogs. I am an advocate for ALL dogs no matter their background and have a passion for helping anxious and fearful dogs.
